Articles about VueScan
ABSOLUTELY NONE.
VueScan is an excellent alternative for those users who need a program to control the scanner, because this lite program is compatible with more than 500 models. That's good news for Mac users, because some scanners don't include drivers for Mac and VueScan can make your scanner work on your Macintosh.
Start up VueScan, and it will identify and configure itself for your scanner. Press the "Preview" button and the scanner will preview your image, which will appear in the right hand pane of the VueScan interface window after Vuescan processes the scanned data. A text readout in the bottom field of the interface window keeps you apprised of scanning and processing progress. Once the preview image appears, you can use the crop box to specify the desired crop for your actual scan.

Same issue with a 2017 iMac, though it used to wake with no problems at all. Thanks a million! ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL )" /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 flashed to 5,1; dual 3.33GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 26 GB RAM, with non-Mac-flashed Sapphire Radeon Pulse 580 8GB mounted in slot 1, Crucial 512GB SSD with High Sierra mounted on OWC PCI board immediately above the Radeon, four 4TB spinning drives in the drive bays. If you haven't already upgraded to Mojave, I would recommend that you do not do so until you can secure Mojave-compatible versions of all your critical apps, including your scanner software. Question: Q: Have run Onyx and Disc Utility and I do have major problems. Many permissions conflicts. I am backing everything up before doing a disc cleanup and then I'll let you all know how things go with Vuescan. According to the scanner's page, you need to use the Epson drivers to make it work, so the software has to be there. If you have a 64 bit computer and you're running a 32 bit driver, then the 64 bit version of Vuescan is used you'll get an error (on Windows at least with my HP scanner). Verify if your OS is 32 or 64 bit, find the drivers for your scanner for that OS, use that version of Vuescan.
